THE RG300ES IS A RG100ES BASED 2 CHANNEL PREAMP WITH 300 WATT CLASS D AMPLIFIER

Two independent channels, Channel A Distortion and Channel B Clean with a series effects loop, Presence and Resonance controls. Preamp Line Out with the ability to mute the Line Out or Speaker Out. Powered by a 300W Class D amplifier Module.

This is a faithful recreation of an early black tolex 84/85 Randall RG100ES. Channel layout has been upgraded though to allow for independent eq controls for both channel A and channel B. The obsoleted and often noisy orginal spec transistors have be replaced with modern surface mount j201 fets to help increase reliability while reducing unwanted noise.

FAQ

Q: What are the PRES and RES controls? Can they be bypassed?

The Presence (PRES) control will control the overall sharpness of the signal. The Resonance(RES) control will control the overall depth of the signal. These were not featured in the original VH140 circuit but they are not bypass-able. The "original" VH tones can still be dialed in.
